The Lisbon Christmas Parade Is Almost Here! Saturday, December 13 • 12 PM • Route 144, Lisbon, MD While live horses won’t participate this year due to the multi-state EHV-1 outbreak, the parade is absolutely still happening — and it’s shaping up to be as festive and magical as ever.
And for all the horse lovers… don’t worry you can still get your horse fix!

The 2025 Lisbon Christmas Parade to Kick off with Tractors, Horses & Hounds on Sat., Dec. 13 at Noon11/13/2025
Festively decorated tractors driven by local farmers will lead the parade followed by up to 250 seasonally adorned horses (both ridden and driven) along the parade route down the Old National Road (Frederick Road), Route 144.
The Lisbon Christmas Parade is presented by the Howard County Farm Bureau in partnership with the Carroll County Farm Bureau annually on the second Sat. of Dec. It benefits the Howard County Food Bank, Carroll County Food Sunday, Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry and the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company. Parade patrons are invited to shop for the season at the Days End Farm Horse Rescue's Santa Village before and after the parade, 10 a.m. -3 pm, and enjoy "Reindeer" Rides from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Since 2011, the Parade has raised over $237,000 and collected over 53,000 pounds of food to feed the local food insecure in our communities. In 2024, the parade raised over $37,000! This year we are hoping to raise well over $40,000! GET INVOLVED: Wanted! Farmers with tractors and farm equipment, equestrians riding saddle horses or driving carriage horses, plus SPONSORS and NON-PERISHABLE CANNED FOOD DRIVE LEADERS! THINGS TO NOTE FOR THE 2025 PARADE: The parade begins at 12:00 noon. Arrive early to secure parking and the best spot along the parade route. Stay and enjoy the town, eat at The Grill and enjoy the Santa Village. For your safety and the safety of our parade participants, patrons are requested to stay along the side and are not enter the parade route. Note that Frederick Road (Route 144) and nearby roads along the parade route will be closed at 11:30 am and will remain closed until after all the horses have made it back to their original staging areas. Carey and the entire McIntosh family have been tremendous supporters of the farming community in many ways. Carey, in particular, has chaired the parade since 2019. Carey and Kathleen McIntosh run their family farm, Royal Hollow Farm, a grass-fed beef and equine boarding facility with a 15 stall barn and an indoor arena. Carey has been an integral member of the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company serving in several positions over the years, including Chief.
The Great Lisbon FARMERS FEED THE HUNGRY Christmas Parade presented by The Howard County Farm Bureau, benefits The Howard County Food Bank, Carroll County Food Sunday, Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry, and Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company. Since its inception in 2011, the parade has raised more than $232,000 to date for the parade’s beneficiaries and some 54,000 of pounds of nonperishable canned food donated to our local food banks in Howard and Carroll counties.

The Lisbon Christmas Parade Committee and Howard County Farm Bureau are delighted to announce that The 2022 Great Lisbon FARMERS FEED THE HUNGRY Christmas Parade continues to be a tremendous success! The 12th annual parade brought out the most participants and patrons we've ever seen! An estimated 3200 parade patrons lined the route in anticipation of the parade! In the spirit of the season, our local farmers and equestrians used their creative talents to showcase their tractors, horses, goats, dogs and more. With nearly 40 local farmers from Howard and Carroll counties, and beyond drove their festively decorated tractors and farm equipment, and antique farm trucks in the parade. More than 150 horses, under saddle and pulling carriages and wagons, proudly made there way up the parade route! In addition, Days End Farm Horse Rescue held their annual Santa's Village with "Reindeer Rides" which drew more than 35 vendors attracting hundreds of patrons to do their holiday shopping and find some delicious treats. Over $27,000 was raised by the 2022 Lisbon Christmas Parade to benefit our beneficiaries. Representatives of Carroll Count Food Sunday, Howard County Food Bank, Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry and Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company were presented received checks on behalf of their organizations. The Numbers Are In! The numbers are in! Thanks to you - our community sponsors and tractor and equine participants - the parade raised over $27,000! Our beneficiaries were presented at the Annual Legislative Howard County Farm Bureau's Legislative Dinner held on April 20th.
